Easy Knit Winter Wreath

I needed a wreath for my front door, but didn't have extra cash to spend.

I found an old hay wreath in my closet and rummaged through scraps of yarn.

I wrapped and wrapped the hay wreath until it was all covered.  I like the bumpy, natural look rather than the perfect look I've seen in other wreaths.

I talked about finger knitting my garland for my tree this past year.  I did the same with an old skein and wrapped that around the wreath.

I only wanted the wreath partially covered.

I tied in the ends.  Look at all that texture!

I wish I could give a knitting tute, but I'm a novice myself.  I just learned how to knit a cord.

I took the cord and stitched the ends together to form a flower.

I tied the flowers to my wreath.

I added contrasting buttons to make each flower pop.

Ta-Da! Easy Wintery wreath to adorn your door - all on the cheap!

Please pin it if you like it and be sure to leave me a comment.  I'd love to hear from you!
