I found this sign while wasting time... er, perusing Pinterest and fell in love! Marianne is the creator of Haven and Home blog and is so incredibly talented. You MUST check her out!

I love everything about this. The verse is one of my favorites. I love painted signs, and the old door! Oh. My. Word! I was out junking and stole this awesome old window from a lady that she used as a seating chart for her wedding - such a cute idea!
Her old paint came off with fingernail polish remover and I gave it a good cleaning.
I played around with fonts and sizes until I found my favorites. I taped the paper template to the back of the glass and went over each letter with a paint pen.
It was difficult with the glass between the paper and the pen, but once I found the 'sweet spot,' my eyes stopped crossing long enough to complete the work.
The shutters hanging around the window frame are my old shutters that I distressed. I will show a post of those later.
And here's a sneak peak of my next project and where I hung the window.
This is also my 100th post! Whoo Hoo! So glad to be back at it and have much, much more to share.
Let me know your comments!

i love this and made something similar for my hubby's birthday. i used vinyl lettering rather than paint, which was also pretty easy. see it here: http://www.imeeshu.com/2011/04/08/surf-breaks-windowsubway-art/
